About Mike:
Michael (Mike) Schrage is a Partner at 119th Street Capital, the private investment arm of First Bancshares Inc., a multi-generational, family-owned enterprise.
Mike is CEO and Chairman of Centier Bank, one of the largest privately held banks in the United States. Mike joined Centier in 1972 as part of the 4th generation of family leadership and was elected Chairman of the Board in 1982. Over the last five decades, Mike has guided Centier’s growth from a local, two branch bank to a regional financial institution with over sixty locations, 1,000+ associates and more than nine billion in assets. Mike also serves as Chairman of First Bancshares. In 2023 Mike was recognized by the Indiana Bankers Association, receiving the Leaders in Banking Excellence Award, which celebrates exceptional leaders who have positively impacted Indiana banks and communities and is the association’s highest honor. Mike is also a Sagamore of the Wabash, the highest honor awarded to individuals by the state of Indiana.
Mike received his undergraduate degree in Economics from Denison University and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Colorado-Boulder.
